Palliative Visiting Volunteer Program
This Program offers support for individuals challenged with life limiting illness, their family members and caregivers. Support from North Perth Community Hospice is offered through a client-centered holistic approach to care.
Emotional Support - Listening with a compassionate ear offering emotional support and understanding
Family Support and Respite - Providing short term relief for the caregiver, helpful information from resource library and linking family and clients with other community support systems
Companionship - Spending quality time, legacy work, dignity therapy in the home, long-term care home, hospital or wherever needed through the illness
Practical Support - Based on each client's needs and interests
Bereavement Support - Following an end-of-life journey with a loved-one, family/friends will be supported by their Visiting Volunteers

Have been thoroughly screened and have completed a comprehensive training course.
Have cleared the Vulnerable Sector Check with the Police.
Are carefully matched with families to meet the needs of the individuals and their family.
